In system software, a web application is an application that is accessed via the internet over a network such as the Internet or an intranet. The term may also mean a computer software application that is hosted in a browser-controlled environment (e.g. a Java applet) or coded in a browser-supported language (such as JavaScript, combined with a browser-rendered markup language like HTML) and reliant on a common web browser to render the application executable.

Web applications are popular due to the ubiquity of web browsers, and the convenience of using a web browser as a client, sometimes called a thin client. The ability to update and maintain web applications without distributing and installing software on potentially thousands of client computers is a key reason for their popularity, as is the inherent support for cross-platform compatibility. Common web applications include webmail, online retail sales, online auctions, wikis and many other functions.

How can I pin individual chrome web applications to my taskbar in windows 7?
Q. How can I pin chrome to my taskbar so I have individual web apps that I can launch?
Asked by Zak - Mon Jun 7 17:37:57 2010 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments

A. The program that chrome "is" is your web browser - you can't pin a program's data. If you want to pin URLs, drag the favicon from the browser address bar to the desktop and pin that to the taskbar.

A. I'll suggest the same thing that I did to this other person ( Read up or do a quick Yahoo Search to get the list of SQL commands. They are pretty limited in how many there are, but it is a very powerful language. What does one typically do in MOST applications. There is the old rule of CRUD. Which is an acronym for Create, Read, Update, or Delete.
