How do I stop importing e-mail from a different provider?
Q. I'm getting e-mails from one of my old e-mail addresses in Outlook Express. I can't find any place on that site that would make OE stop exporting those e-mails to my Yahoo account so maybe I set it up from Yahoo to begin with as an import. I need to stop receiving those e-mails because they are all spam and junk.

A. sounds to me like you set that account to forward to outlook and now outlook forwards them to yahoo, right? maybe if you go back to the original account that forwards to outlook and stop that or the easy way is to make sure that u have removed that account from outlook, on the menubar click "tools>accounts>whatevera cct>remove" if it don't get to outlook it can't get to yahoo, if that don't do it then it wasn't outlook doing the forwarding and u can't tell yahoo mail to go fetch ure other mail it must be forwarded from the other acct hope it helps, cya

What is the easiest way to send an e-mail to 2000 people listed in an excel sheet?
Q. I have an excel list of 2000 e-mails that I need to contact. I can copy and paste the e-mail column into the "To:" but would then have to insert a comma after each e-mail. What is the easiest way for me to send an e-mail to all 2000 people?
Asked by Andres - Wed Aug 27 18:57:56 2008 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Copy the contents of the excel doc into notepad. Select everything in notepad again and copy (this is so it wont copy any formatting). Paste this into word. Open find and replace Ctrl-H. By using the special characters button (at the bottom of find and replace) add paragraph. Replace that with a "; " Then replace all.. Once it's done, copy and paste that into the To: in outlook.

How do I have an e-mail address automatically be in my email in Outlook 2003?
Q. I have Outlook 2003. I need a copy of every e-mail to go to a host e-mail address in our office. I do alot of e-mails a day. Is there a way that when a new e-mail is started it will have an e-mail address already in the "cc" section, similar to having a signature automatically in the e-mail. Thank you.

How can I change my e-mail address or stop the junk ads that I am receiving?
Q. I really don't want to change my e-mail address, but for the past several months I have been getting unwanted ads from companies I don't know and ads that don't make sense. At times I can opt out, but then someone else sends the very same ad, but from a different e-mail address. I have tried to e-mail back, but it doesn't work. How can I stop this from happening anymore?
Asked by Marie - Fri Sep 8 02:47:43 2006 - - 1 Answers - 1 Comments

A. It was smart to stop opting out. My brother in law MS guru says it simply sends a signal that it is a valid edress. I have enjoyed the freebie Mailwasher. Once you blacklist a site, it seems to catch the whole family from that server.

Asked by Susan P - Fri Jun 12 16:33:53 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments

A. The BCC line (blind courtesy copy) is used to hide all addresses entered on it. With Classic Mail---Yahoo allows us to leave the TO line blank---IF---we enter ALL recipients on the BCC line (blind courtesy copy) and the mail will be delivered showing "Undisclosed-Recipients" on the TO line. That's all that will be seen. "Most" other mail services use the same process. However---With Yahoo "All New Mail"---I believe you still have to put at least one entry on the TO line. Put your own address there---all others on BCC. Your address is all that will be seen.

A. Log on to your passport account. Go to https://accountservices.p assport.net/ppnetworkhome .srf?vv=550&lc=1033 and click on account services. Long on using your current email address that is connected to your xbox account. From there you can change the email address associated with your gamertag. I did this a week ago.

How do I put my Wife's e mail account on this computer along with mine?
Q. I want my wife to be able to receive her e mail on this computer as well as my e mail. We each have separate e mail addresses. How do I do that?
Asked by Ray B - Sun Aug 24 19:15:09 2008 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Email is not physically stored in your computer. All she needs to do is log into her email provider (Hotmail, Yahoo, whatever) and she can access her email from any computer in the world. If you are using Yahoo as your home page, she might want to get a Yahoo email account if she doesn't already have one. Just go to the home page where it says "sign up" and follow the directions. A person can have as many email addresses as they want, but they will need different User IDs and passwords for each one.

Has anyone received an e-mail from Yahoo asking for their username and password?
Q. I just received an e-mail from yahoo saying that there is an account alert. The e-mail asked me to give them my user name and password saying that my account was going to be canceled within 24 hours if I didn't comply. Is this for real? How do I find out if this is a legitimate e-mail or if it a scam?

A. I would think that it is what is called a phishing email, trying to get your details so as to access your account. If you can use Yahoo! Answers, then all your details are ok with Yahoo, so don't answer it, simply delete. Yahoo already have all your details they need in their records.

A. First, state in your letter the accomplishments that your company has gone through with the help of these entities. Then cite how much you appreciate their efforts. Then briefly state the you will soon be leaving your company - but don't tell the name and nature of you new office. Then state that you wish to work again with them (the suppliers etc) in the future.

Asked by dar - Tue Jun 16 06:34:05 2009 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Hmmm ... so many things wrong here. 1. Yahoo would not ask you for your E-mail address, much less to change it. 2. You can not change your E-mail address, you have to open a new account with a different ID name. 3. There is no telling what has happened as a result of this, so you do what you can to recover. Change the password to your E-mail accounts, yes, both of them. Watch the account to see if it behaves as it should and there are no signs of a "visitor." Also, look for a lot of spam.

Should I reply to the Yahoo e-mail message that says I will have my account deleted?
Q. I received a message from Yahoo that says in order to keep my e-mail account I need to reply to the message and give them my name, e-mail address, password, alternative e-mail, and alternative e-mail password. Is this legit?
Asked by ccm - Wed May 13 20:52:12 2009 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Scam!!! That's a phishing email. Don't reply to the message and give out your personal information to total strangers or you'll risk losing your account to them. Remember that Y! doesn't send unsolicited emails to all its users, as the company already has that stored in its well-secured servers. Go report the message here: Choose Password Phishing as the reason for the violation you're reporting on. After that, spam it straight into oblivion without delay.

A. Are you talking about the Outlook express button in the start menu? If you click on this you will open the program and you can link many email addresses onto it. The program will "pick" up emails from various email addresses for you. You will need to go into "Tools" and "Accounts" and add in the details for each email address. Does this help.

How should I reply to an e-mail offer for a college interview?
Q. The e-mail was sent to me by the college's alumni. He wants to set up an interview to talk about his experience, and to answer questions I might have. What is the proper way to respond to the e-mail? Also, should I set up the date?
Asked by Ne-ne - Fri Jan 19 20:19:02 2007 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments

A. I am also an alumna interviewer of students who wish to attend my alma mater. When I email these prospective students to set up interviews, I expect them to reply in a professional manner. In my initial email, I provide times and dates that I will be available. Your interviewer should have done the same. But since it appears he did not, you should definitely make suggestions for dates and times that you are available. Here's a good sample reply email: Dear Mr. Zzzz, Thank you for your email. I would indeed be interested in an interview with an alumnus of Nnnn University. Since I am currently in school, my availability is limited to some evenings and weekends. May I suggest a Wednesday evening in the month of February at 7:00 p.m. [cont.]

A. Yahoo free mail doesn't provide that option, I don't know about hotmail, but Outlook has it. But the recipient needs to have the same capability and willingness to click received. They may choose not to. This is what the spammers use to see if accounts are active.
