You would be using up resources for no reason. There is no simple way or feature to do this. But if you want to do it anyways, about the only thing you can is under the File menu to open a New Tab without entering a URL. This will give you a blank tab. Then close all the other tabs. Not very elegant, but it will do what you want. The other alternative is to reset your Home Page so that it opens with a blank page.
